Originally from the Auvergne region of France, my artistic journey took root in Lyon following intensive studies at the prestigious Emile Cohl drawing school. Here, I immersed myself in the diverse realms of pictorial art, drawing inspiration from classical masters like Michelangelo and Gustave Doré for their technical prowess. Later, I found myself captivated by the bold surrealism of Dali and Ernst, and the dark universes of Giger and Beksiński, aiming to integrate these influences into my contemporary creations.
My artistic evolution led me into the heart of rock and metal culture, beginning at Wild Custom Guitars in Vichy. Here, I had the unique opportunity to apply my craft to electric guitars, collaborating with music bands on album covers—a medium close to my heart. This journey naturally progressed into tattooing and mural painting, expanding my canvas from paper to skin, T-shirts, and expansive walls.
With a foundation in classical techniques honed over four years of academic training, I developed a deep reverence for the tactile nature of art as a physical object. In the digital age, where everything tends towards the virtual, I find importance in maintaining a tangible connection to my work.
Simultaneously, I embrace the power of digital tools like Photoshop and Illustrator, which have revolutionized the art world by enhancing accessibility and efficiency. These digital mediums complement traditional techniques, offering an expansive palette of creative possibilities.
To me, the medium is as crucial as the technique, serving as a conduit for projects, ideas, and messages. Whether crafting on paper, guitars, or digital screens, each medium brings its own challenges, influencing the creative process and the impact of the final artwork. This integration of mediums allows me to merge my diverse influences and techniques into visual narratives that resonate across various platforms and audiences.
